In the video clip shooting mode, select the animation mode, and press the SET button.
This procedure activates the animation shooting mode.

Select the animation mode, and press the SET button.
Animation shooting begins.
During animation shooting, each time the SET button is pressed, the display switches among the following three types of display modes.

A. Normal
This is the conventional mode. |

B. Hide icons.
When the icons or date display obstructs the subject, they can be hidden.

C. Simple onion skin feature
The current through-the-lens image and the frame that was captured immediately prior can be alternately displayed by switching at high speed.
Using Left and Right key on the arrow button, the through-the-lens image and the image that was captured immediately prior can each be paused.
Switching can also be operated using the remote controller.
The same operation is possible using camera buttons F1 and F2. |

Easier to scroll images on the 9-Frame Multi Screen.
When using the 9-Frame Multi Screen display to view a large volume of captured images, you can now quickly access the desired file by keeping the arrow button depressed or by using the selector dial for accelerated scrolling through the file numbers.
For high-speed scrolling, you can advance through the images by displaying only the file numbers.

Improved mode transition when manual photography is selected.
In manual shooting, parameters for the AE mode selection or white balance mode selection that have already been set once can be accessed directly, instead of via the menu display. This change enhances operability when photographing with frequent shutter speed and aperture changes. |

Up to now, for example, after setting the shutter speed priority mode and exiting the Setting Screen, in order to change the same setting, returning to the select screen required first pressing the EXP button, and then RETURN.
With the firmware change, shutter speed operation can now be accessed just by pressing the [EXP] button.
Procedure before the update
During manual shooting, to set the shutter speed while shooting, press the EXP button to change the setting.

The EXP menu appears.
Press the RETURN button, and you can now change the shutter speed.
After firmware update
During manual shooting, to set the shutter speed while shooting, press the EXP button to change the setting.

You can change the shutter speed directly.
If the EXP menu appears, press the EXP button once more.
*This feature is not only used for the shutter speed, but a similar operation is now used for the [EXP] and [W.BAL] 2-level menus.
